London, UK — November 4th, 2025 – Panda Surgical, developer of handheld robots for minimally invasive neurosurgery, today announced the appointment of Craig Marshall to its Board of Directors, effective 16th of October 2025. Craig will act as an independent non-executive board director.
Craig is a recognised leader in medical technology with more than 25 years of experience building and scaling global technology organisations. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of OrganOx, an Oxford University spinout transforming liver transplantation, leading the company from pre-revenue to a $1.5B acquisition by the Japanese medical device manufacturer Terumo Corporation. Prior to joining OrganOx in 2016, Craig served as managing director at Siemens Magnet Technology and simultaneously acted as an executive member of the Siemens Healthcare MRI business between 2010 and 2016. "Bringing a revolutionary medical technology to market is never easy." said Manios Dimitrakakis, CEO and co-founder of Panda Surgical. "Craig, having been through this journey before, will help us steer the treacherous path from pre-revenue to commercialisation, de-risking our project as we move closer to introducing our innovative robotic solution into the operating room."
Prof. Hani Marcus, Chief Medical Officer and co-founder, added: “It’s areal pleasure to welcome Craig to Panda. His experience and insight will be invaluable as we continue to advance our technology — helping neurosurgeons perform operations better and improving outcomes for patients.”
On his appointment, Craig said “I am thrilled to join the Board of Panda Surgical and to work with this talented team in order to guide them to maximise the benefit for patients and the associated healthcare providers.”
Craig brings valuable expertise in all stages of medical device commercialisation, from preclinical to profit. At Panda Surgical, his advice and strategic oversight will help support our journey to introduce much needed robotic solutions in minimally invasive neurosurgery.
